With a strong foundation in both healthcare and mental health counseling, Elizabeth Weisiger serves as a Clinical Counselor at SeaView Community Services in Adult Mental Health Residential Services. Elizabeth Weisiger earned a Master’s degree in Psychology: Clinical Counseling from The Citadel Graduate College and brings a diverse clinical background rooted in compassionate care and client-centered support.
Prior to joining SeaView Community Services, Elizabeth Weisiger worked as an Intensive Outpatient Group Counselor at Charlie Health, facilitating therapeutic groups and supporting individuals navigating complex mental health challenges. Before pursuing graduate studies in counseling, Elizabeth Weisiger spent several years in the nursing profession across private practice settings as well as pediatric and adult hospital systems. It was during work at MUSC Children’s Hospital that a deep passion for counseling and psychotherapy emerged, ultimately inspiring a transition into the mental health field.
In clinical practice, Elizabeth Weisiger utilizes a strengths-based, compassion-focused, and trauma-informed approach, emphasizing each individual’s resilience, growth, and capacity for healing. Guided by the words of Marsha Linehan — “Building a Life Worth Living” — Elizabeth Weisiger believes that every person can work toward creating a meaningful and fulfilling life through their unique mental health journey.
