Demitra was born and raised in Denver Colorado, attended college at New York Institute of Technology on a basketball scholarship. She received her bachelor’s degree in health science in 2014 and Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016.  She has lived in Seward since 2020.  She currently works at Providence Seward Medical Center as a physical therapist and is transitioning to owning her own clinic, Seward Physical Therapy LLC.  She is vested in the Seward Community as she volunteers as a coach for the high school girl’s basketball team.  In her free time, she enjoys all the outdoor activity Seward has to offer hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, as well as spending time with her fiancé and 2 dogs.

Demitra chose to serve on SeaView’s Governing Board because as a physical therapist she treats the whole person and understands how mental health affects people’s pain and ability to heal.  She feels the community needs access to mental health services, as healthier people age better, make better life choices, cultivate meaningful relationships, and live happier lives. Demitra wants to help Seward be a community where people love to live and have resources to do so successfully.
