Living & Working in Seward, Alaska

Have you ever wanted to live in a beautiful seaside community that offers simple, small-town living? Then welcome to Seward, Alaska!

Seward is a picturesque, seaside town located on the Kenai Peninsula, 120 miles south of Anchorage. Nestled between the shores of Resurrection Bay, and surrounded by mountains, Seward is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Seward is known for its sense of community and quality of life, and has received the All-America City Award 3 times. The population is approximately 3,000 residents in the winter and almost double in the summer.

We have most of the amenities of a big town, in a small-town package, including a hospital, library, 3 public schools, playgrounds, restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops, fitness centers and even an indoor public swimming pool. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, cross country skiing and more. Our healthy economy is based primarily on tourism and commercial fishing.
